UK Politics - Is it time for a 'regime change'?
As the UK seems to be hurtling out of control towards a full blown recession with a government that has almost 2 years to serve in this term, I cannot but think that for the sake of the country and its economy, Gordon Brown should listen to the opinion polls and call an election.
With businesses and the financial sector facing 2 years of uncertainty in political terms, I think its time the PM did the honourable thing and 'fall on his own sword' but we all know that this will not happen as there are 2 years more salary to collect, 2 years more pension contributions to amass and 2 years worth of chapters in the autobiography to script. Do you think that politicians should govern for the good of the nation or for the good of the party and themselves? BlueNose, proud to be a member of VQTE since Sep 2008. |
