Earthquakes in China a result of bad karma?
Any chance the earthquakes in China are a result of bad karma for Beijing's rule in Tibet? Sharon Stone seems to think so: http://edition.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/Movi...index.html

RE: Earthquakes in China a result of bad karma?
Maybe, but it seems things like earthquakes and other natural disasters are just happening a lot nowadays, and on a big scale. Just look at the Pakistan earthquake, the tornadoes all over the US, the tsunami etc

RE: Earthquakes in China a result of bad karma?
It's true natural disasters are hitting everywhere, but it's also true that human rights' violations are going on everywhere as well. It is heart wrenching to see so many people suffer so much in these disasters, but it is also true that so many people in disaster stricken countries routinely allow minorities among themselves to be unjustly and ruthlessly persecuted. I just entered a thread on this topic:
http://www.vqte.com/pakistani-and-indone...-7304.html A day or so before the disasterous earthquake hit in Pakistan, news broke out of religious extremists gunning down people of the minority Ahmadiyya sect--a sect that had never retaliated with violence in its history of over 100 years. Here's an excerpt from http://www.thepersecution.org : Three weeks after the blood bath, grievously injured Ahmadis are still in hospital. The police moved fast to make some arrests, but as per press reports, 12 of the suspects have been declared ‘not guilty’ by the court. The government of Punjab announced paltry sums of Rs. 100,000 and Rs. 50,000 assistance money to the families of the deceased and the injured. It is noteworthy that while the government paid Rs. 500,000 to the Sunni and Shia victims of such attacks, Ahmadis were considered eligible for only a fifth of that amount. Three weeks later when the officials presented these cheques to the bereaved families, they returned these and requested them to deposit the same in the Presidential Relief Fund in aid of earthquake victims. Similar persecution is allowed to carry out in Bangladesh and Indonesia, as well as a host of other countries. |
