Hillary's Tuesday Night Speech
What are your thoughts on Hillary's speech Tuesday night in New York?
I thought that 90% of it was outstanding. She expressed great commitment to the issues she ran on. She assured her supporters that she will continue to work on issues that are important to them. She also sounded like the Hillary Clinton we have know nationally for 16 years. An old-style politician who plays the influence/power game. And it seemed like she was also using her supporters for her own ends in that game. There's always a catch with Hillary. She's like that old friend of yours who calls you once in a blue moon. She starts by complementing your successes since you last talked, and tells you she thinks about you often. And then the real reason for the call becomes obvious--she wants something from you. Just like the Contribute button at the bottom of the Thank you note she sent via email tonight. |

RE: Hillary's Tuesday Night Speech
As I listened to Hillary's speech I went thru the same procession of emotions that I always do with her. I start off with a sense of expectation that "this time" she's truly being sincere and magnanimous. Then she tacks onto a different course that almost negates her very own words and before I know it she's right back to her same old self-serving game. I'm left feeling disappointed and distrustful of her.
Your analogy of "that old friend" is perfect. I've had friends like that. When it comes clear what they're up to the only self respecting thing to do is to let go of the association and seek more honest friends. This characterizes my decision about not supporting Hillary. She still has a great many opportunities ahead...... if she doesn't ruin them for herself. |

RE: Hillary's Tuesday Night Speech
Well, Hillary's speech on Saturday was 99% outstanding, up from Tuesday night. (I only subtract one percent because just once in the speech I thought she went on a little too long on a point about herself.) She came through her disappointment, and she came through for Obama.
Thanks, Senator Clinton! |

RE: Hillary's Tuesday Night Speech
I think that Hillary's speech on Saturday was magnificent. I think because she endorsed Obama, the hatred between the supporters will dwindle and we will have a strong democratic party. If we come on the board together, we will get the democratic party back into office and get this country running on its feet again.

RE: Hillary's Tuesday Night Speech
She wants the vice presidency folks. I have one comment. Here is a picture of her husband on Ron Burkle's (Billionaire Supermarket Mogul who flies round the world with young ladies) plane. The year is 2006.
![]() Who is the girl? Looks Russian. One of those one's he "did not have sex with". Whatever Do you really want the Clinton mess back on the nation's tab? Your tax dollars continue to pay for the secret service agents to tag along on his lifelong bachelor party... |
