Clinton vows to stay in the race
Gotta love Senator Clinton's tenacity. With ABC, the New York Times, and Fox News all but calling the nomination for Obama in the wake of his overwhelming win in North Carolina and close race in Indiana, folks are scratching their heads over her vow to stay in the race.

George Stephanopoulos thinks it's because she's holding out for Vice President. Now there's something to think about.

I don't care how long she stays in. It's every candidates right to stay in as long as they want, however, I'm not sure why she is. I don't think she's helping the party at this point though, and should probably drop out. Especially since she seems to be going / gone broke staying in.

Those are some good questions. I ask myself the same things.

I would rather not have an Obama-Clinton ticket, though.

RE: Clinton vows to stay in the race
Hillary should bow out gracefully and let Obama take his rightful place as the nominee. Ms. Clinton has fought the good fight and she is a very talented and well liked member of the Senate...she needs to focus on that and what her next strategy is. I don't think an Obama/Clinton ticket is a good idea. I think Obama needs a clean slate and I am confidant that he will make a good and wise decision when it comes to his running mate. And..I can't see Hillary satisfied with the #2 position. Or Bill either for that matter.

I have often wondered if Hillary stuck by Bill during his Monica debacle by promising to see him through his crisis if he helped her become president..I don't know...and maybe this is why it is so hard for her to let go.

It's time for a new Democratic leader. I think Obama is smart, articulate and a born leader. He needs to focus on the general election and get the prmary season behind him. Hillary cannot win mathematically and that is not going to change. Barack has gained 9 superdelegates today to Hillary's 0...well, she got one, but then another one defected from her to Obama. She needs to let go.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents!

Cannot believe he said bitterness.

She's broke and needs to think about things. Her $11.4M loan needs to be repaid before the convention in order for her not to lose the money.

That ticket wouldn't fly with me.

RE: Clinton vows to stay in the race
It's too bad Clinton has had to (or chosen to) pour so much money into the campaign, but I think it is important to let everyone cast a vote. If she drops out now, she -- and the party -- suggests that a half-dozen states full of voters simply don't matter.

I'm irritated, flummoxed, and frustrated that the states decided to stretch the primaries out for five months. I was in Manchester, NH, on the eve of their primary way back in early January, and the last votes won't be cast until the first week of June. What's up with that?

As for an Obama-Clinton ticket, I'd be a heck of a lot happier with that than a McCain-ChooseYourFavorite ticket. Meanwhile, nothing's decided, but the short list of Obama running mates seems to include (former Republican) Senator Jim Webb of Virginia, New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, and Delaware Senator Joe Biden.
