I will not vote for Hillary Clinton
Let me make this clear.... under no circumstances will I EVER vote for Hillary Clinton. NEVER. I have been an independent voter for over 8 years and I registered democrat this year just to support Barack Obama. I WILL NOT support Hillary Clinton. To see the lengths she will go to win....at any cost... makes me sick.

RE: I will not vote for Hillary Clinton
I have been a registered democrat for 16 years and I will not vote for Hillary Clinton. I will write in my vote for Obama in November if he is not on the ballot.

Ohio was a product of Republican voters voting for her so that McCain can roll right over the democrats in November. The GOP is more scared of Obama than Clinton. Hillary should call and thank Rush Limbaugh for her win.

My fellow Democrats have had a cancer growing on the party since 1996. It is the cancer of centrism that moves our ideals so much to the center that we are indistinguishable from the GOP. Next thing you know you have democrats who should know better voting for a war that never should have been.

The Clintons are emblematic of this cancer. Do you really want another 8 years of that?

Obama in '08.

I didn't catch Hillary's victory speech. Did she take time out and express heartfelt appreciation for the "vast right-wing conspiracy" that handed her these victories?

I woke up one morning in 1968, turned on the TV, and found out that Bobby was gone. If Rush and Hillary are successful, they too can destroy all hope that we can ever again put our government back in the hands of the people.

No candidate with negatives as high as Hillary's has ever been elected to the presidency. And no amount of campaigning is effective at decreasing those negatives -- they're most inelastic.
Hillary knows this, but she continues on her mission to shred the Democratic Party, hand-in-hand with Rush Limbaugh.

Politics does indeed make strange bedfellows!

RE: I will not vote for Hillary Clinton
I have been fighting back tears since last night. I don't believe she has the country's best intrests at heart; she wants to win and that's that. She is in this for self glory an does not realize we are a broken society because we have almost forgotten how to be a community.

That's why Obama is all about what "we" can do. No one , not even the president, can do it alone.

Anyone remember we once had a president that said, "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country"? For my country, I must vote for Obama. As misguided as McCain is on the war, I know that he is about the country. I will vote McCain before Clinton. (it really HURT me to type that last sentence)

Both the GOP and Democratic party are power hungry war mongers. Get used to it. The only difference is what they want power over. Democrats want to control the economy while Republicans want to control your personal life. But every 4 years we participate in this charade hoping that this time it will be different.

RE: I will not vote for Hillary Clinton
I will absolutely not vote for Hillary either! I have voted democratic all my life and I will write Barack's name in. Hillary has given us a clear indication of what we could expect from her as a president based on the way she's behaved during the campaign. She has shown us that it's all about winning at any cost; that she will use all the negative means possible to win and to attack her opponent; she has shown us that it is all about her and not about us. She consistently uses the words "me" and "I" versus "you" and "we".

Like Barack says, the status quo doesn't go down easy, so it is going to be a tough battle but we have to keep the faith and move thru all the negative dark forces--ew! I will vote for Barack in November. The worst case is that we'll end up with John McCain which frighteningly I believe would be better than Hillary based on what we've seen.

RE: I will not vote for Hillary Clinton
Last week, the Clintons and their pundits took control of the medias to attack Barack Obama with false accusations. In 2000 Georges W. Bush and his pundits used a similar strategy against John McCain. If the democratic nomination is stolen by the Clintons and their pundits, then John McCain should be the next president.

Problems are recurrent in politics in part because of the power mongering dynasties like the Clintons and the Bushes. They have big networks of pundits and lobbysits (including in the medias) and this make changes more difficult. But once in a while, a large movement occurs from which progress is made.

RE: I will not vote for Hillary Clinton
Politics is basically a war between two sides and both sides wind up playing dirty tricks in order to win. And perhaps there should be some of that. It prepares the person for what is surely to be unfair events during his/her presidency and gives us a glimpse in how a candidate reacts to such scenarios. Crying and screaming over some memo or brochure like a little kid shows a lot about a person, versus someone who handles it maturely and calmly.

However, as I said before, I can look beyond all that if I think the alternative is worse. And in this case, I think McCain winning will do this country far more harm than Hilary would. So I would still vote for her. I would prefer Obama, but again the goal is not who sits in the power chair, but how this country will be under a certain set of policies.

Besides, even with yesterday's votes, Hillary is still 80-100 delegates behind (and maybe more if his lead holds in the Texas Caucus), so you can't write him off yet.

sunken Wrote:. . . so you can't write him off yet.

I was pretty bummed out this morning, but this race is not over, and it's up to the Obama supporters to help win Pennsylvania! Governor Ed Rendell has already endorsed Hillary, but honestly, that don't mean nuthin' here in Pennsylvania. Just ask the pollsters -- we have a reputation for being "ornery". For example, in the general elections, it's not unusual for voters from either party to ignore the straight party button, and vote office by office for the candidate they feel is best for the job. Oh, sure, there's always that subculture of partisan party hammerheads who always vote a straight ticket, but Pennsylvania has a disproportionately large number of ticket-splitters, which confounds the party politicians. So, even if our governor endorses Hillary, we will crank up our brains, listen closely, and decide on our own. (Thanks anyway, Ed.)

Al Gore once said, "Frequently a cynic is, in reality, a disillusioned idealist." So, let's not get cynical about this whole process just yet. We still have a chance to play a role in helping Barack Obama wrest control from the politicians of the past, and return that control to the people. Here, now, today we have 42 days left to make a final stand for the way things ought to be.

We all have real lives, I know. But if every one of us can just give a few hours of our time, or a few dollars from our pocketbooks, we will still be the owners of the process, and we will still stand a chance to make a difference. We have the candidate who is earning the presidency and our respect, even if the other candidate did enter the campaign thinking she was owed a coronation.
