State of the Union Address
What did you all think of the State of the Union address? It was Bush's 7th and final one. He seems like he used it mostly to get whatever was bothering him off his chest. He chided the democrats quite a bit, which I found odd because in the next breath he wanted Congress to pass stuff. You don't get much flies with vinegar. It would seem to me to go against his hopes of getting anything done over the next 10 months of his presidency.

RE: State of the Union Address
Congress has done a pathetic job throughout most of Bush's term in office. Which would explain their aproval rating being even lower then the Presidents. They deserve a lot more criticism then what they have received.

RE: State of the Union Address
Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have done a superb job of preventing energy legislation from being brought before the Congress and Senate. They are culprits who are responsible for the mess we are in. Republicans have tried to get energy legislation passed for years. But Democrats believe that gas prices are not high enough. We should drill now and drill here in the continental United States and off the continental shelf to become energy independent of OPEC.
