What do you like about him? [Romney]

Seeing as Mitt Romney is the only candidate without an additional topic on the forum thus far, I thought it only fitting to go ahead and give him one.

What is it you like about Romney over other Republican candidates such as McCain and Huckabee? Please be specific.

While he's not my choice, what I like about Romney over McCain is that he does not take an extremist view in anything. He's not yelling about how terrorists are going to come kill us all. He is not talking about leaving soldiers in Iraq for the next 100 years. He did get some degree of health care in Massachussettes. He seems like someone who can bridge the wide gap between Americans and get us back on track. Perhaps in some ways he's a bit too conservative for my taste, but better that than McCain's extremism to pretty much destroy whatever it is he doesn't like.

I liked Romney for his string economic policies. There is no better candidate on either side of the political spectrum when it comes to the economy. Sadly he had to drop out but a vice presidency opening is still avaliable which I think Romney could land.

I think that Romney is one of the better candidates for the republican party, even though he eventually dropped out of the race. He just seems to be well rounded on subjects such as the war in Iraq. If McCain hasn't already choose a vice president in his mind, I would definately like to see Romney on his short list for vice presidency.
